I WOULD AGREE WITH JOHN MARTY ON ONE POINT. PEOPLE KNOW GOVERNMENT 1S
SHORT-SIGHTED AND TOO PARTISAN. BUT IS THE ANSWER TO ELECT YET ANOTHER
DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN? OF COURSE NOT. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE GOTTEN
GOVERNMENT INTO THE MESS IT'S IN ALREADY THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CATER TO
SPECIAL INTERESTS. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO TAKE MORE AND MORE OF OUR
EARNINGS AWAY IN TAXES. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE CREATED THE FRUSTRATION
YOU HEAR EVERY DAY WHEN PEOPLE SAY "I HATE POLITICS". WHAT NEEDS TO BE
UNDERSTOOD BY THESE PEOPLE IS THAT THEY DO NOT HATE POLITICS, THEY HATE THE
TWO-PARTY SYSTEM THAT HAS A STRANGLEHOLD ON POLITICS.

WHEN MARTY TALKS ABOUT CARLSON "DUCKING OUT" ON DEBATES, I SEE RED.
NEITHER CANDIDATE HAS BOTHERED TO MAKE SURE ANY OF THEIR SO-CALLED DEBATES
WERE FAIR AND INCLUSIVE. I SAT IN THE AUDIENCE AT MPR'S "GOVERNORS DEBATE"
LAST MONDAY. SO DID ANOTHER CANDIDATE. DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS DON'T
WANT PEOPLE TO HEAR OTHER CANDIDATE'S SOLUTIONS. THEY DON'T WANT THE
VOTING PUBLIC TO BE ABLE TO GET A CHANCE TO COMPARE IDEAS AND PHILOSOPHIES.
IT'S AN EXCLUSIVE CLUB. "ONLY DFL AND IR NEED APPLY". THIS MUST BE
CHANGED. ONE WAY TO HELP CHANGE THINGS IS TO SHOW UP IN FRONT OF WCCO'S
STUDIOS ON 11TH AND NICOLLET NEXT TUESDAY TO PROTEST THE "DEBATE" IN WHICH
ONLY THE RULING PARTIES OF MINNESOTA POLITICS WILL BE HEARD. SADLY A FREE
AND OPEN DISCUSSION OF THE ISSUES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED,

THERE IS HOPE. GOVERNMENT CAN WORK. IT IS PROJECTS LIKE THIS ONE
THAT ALLOW A FREE AND OPEN DISCUSSION OF THE ISSUES THAT WILL EVENTUALLY
CHANGE THINGS. BUT WE'VE G0T A LONG WAY TO GO.
REMEMBER, IF YOU WANT FREEDOM, VOTE LIBERTARIAN.
