Introduction from John Marty - DFL
John Marty, has been a member of the Minnesota Senate since 1987.
Marty has authored numerous environment and DWI laws. He chairs the
Senate Election Laws Committee and has passed significant government
reforms, including a ban on lobbyist gifts to public officials.
Marty, 41, graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Ethics. The
son of author and theologian Martin Marty, John is a former foundation
administrator and a free-lance writer. John and his wife Connie have
two children and live in Roseville.
