eDemocracy International - International E-Democracy

E-Democracy Initiatives Directory

This directory will contain links to citizen-based electronic democracy efforts at the local, regional, national, and international level. It will focus on non-partisan, open issue efforts of which few currently exist. However, based on contacts from those interested in the Minnesota E-Democracy experience and the general interest in using the Internet to improve citizen participation, it is likely that dozens of efforts will be launched in the next few years.

Two essential elements for citizen-based electronic democracy initiatives we plan to include in this direcory are the existence of non-partisan, broad-based conveying group (focused on promoting online political citizen participation) and officially sponsored interactive forums and participant produced content onthe WWW.

Projects with both citizen interaction/participation and WWW content.

Some non-partisan election-oriented projects with original content on the WWW:

Please see our Electronic Democracy Resources on the Internet for links to academic, government, media, or commercially sponsored resources.

Please e-mail information about your organization or interest in starting an effort in your area, to : edem-intl@freenet.msp.mn.us.
